At the end of 2019, very tired and at my wits end, Blue screen of death and I travelled to the Eyre peninsula in South Australia to a very special place where I first learned to crawl through life. We collected mussels and drank wine that tasted like the mineral-ly hills in the distance. The smoke from the fires from kangaroo island blew over, The smell of desperation and anxiety, of animals fear and breaking hearts. Half the country was on fire. Blue screen scurried about with tiny synths and gadgets, recording the cockies in the trees above. I watched the sea from the couch under the veranda, listless in my big old dirty Neil Young t-shirt. Blue Screen of Death made me use the looper pedal they gave me, I was afraid of it and I’m very glad they made me because now we can give you “Kellidie”. The sound of 2019, the sound of open space and salt and the bottom of the ocean. The sound of before things got really strange. I love you all and thank you so very much to Blue Screen of Death for putting this all together and their continued support of me and the creativity in all of us.

The sun set as a perfect gold disk, falling between banks of clouds into the clear sky above the land on the horizon. Gold colours flickered in the water whilst wispy clouds lingered in the sun's glow. A subtle layer of smoke filtered the sun's rays into strangely defined volumetric shafts. The whole sky became circular as the world was projected into a glass dome.
